From the Admiral’s Cabin

The Admiral yard is currently bristling with activity, as we enter into the last half of 2005. With so much still to do, the Admiral Team is hard at work incorporating a number of new concepts and ideas that will see the Admiral 38 a highlight at the 2006 Miami Boat Show.

Our esteemed designer, Angelo Lavranos, has also been under the Admiral Whip since the beginning of the year, with the mission to design the new Admiral 44. We ecstatic to announce that we have approved in principle the initial conceptual design for our new 44ft, which we believe will take the market by storm as we have been inundated with enquiries in this size range.

We are hoping to launch the design on our website in the next few weeks. Speaking of which, be sure to visit our new-look website, www.admiralyachts.co.za, as well as to visit our USA site at www.admiralyachtsusa.com.

We have received a number of enquiries with regards to whether we will be attending the Annapolis Boat Show. Yes, and we look forward to seeing you there!

As mentioned in our previous newsletter, we would be launching the Admiral Pre-Owned warranty plan.

This has proved exceptionally popular with a number of Admiral Owners, now selling their boats through Admiral Yachts USA and we are pleased to announce that we are now the largest seller of Pre-Owned Admirals in the world. See www.admiralyachtsusa.com/pre.htm

Admiral Yachts USA is the only factory appointed and approved Admiral Dealer in the United States.

The Admiral Adventure

Now for the exciting part! Admiral Yachts is currently manufacturing a 50ft Adventure Boat. This new vision is a hybrid of the 50ft Executive and the 50ft Daysailor. The concept is to manufacture a 50ft boat that has a multitude of uses. The hull interiors are equipped to a high level of luxury as per the Admiral 50 Executive, sporting three double cabins and a separate heads / shower facility in each hull. Full air conditioning is standard as is the TV/DVD/CD player and plasma screen in each cabin.

In contrast, we have kept the saloon / cockpit area on the same level with a three separate seating arrangements and a bar area. The idea is to keep this area as entertainment friendly as possible, with lots of easy to clean surfaces and plenty of areas to unwind. The cockpit / saloon area now has one common hard top binimi area, with the sides and the back open for excellent ventilation. In bad weather, these areas are closed off with roll-down screens.

This boat has been entered into the Cape Town to Salvador race, approximately 3,400 nm, leaving Cape Town of the 4th January 2006. After completing the race, the vessel will be exploring the Amazon River, before heading towards the Caribbean. The concept of this boat is to bring international awareness to Admiral Yachts, simultaneously rending us the opportunity prove the durability and reliability of our catamarans in the harshest of environments.

We are also inviting interested parties and clients to join us along various stages of this vessels epic voyage. More information may be obtained at www.admiraladventures.com.
